I loved the combo of iMovie hard disk 6.0.4 and the easy dovetailing of movies with iDVD.
Information technology was not a brain-dead easy program, so people gravitated away.
I am a dinosaur, I know it. But this dinosaur needs to download iMovie hd half dozen and upgrades.
My original software has become damaged.

Hi Dave,
The downloaded file will not install unless I have iLife 08. I have to do a bit of study to see if Mavericks can tolerate iLife 08 before I become information technology.
I am beginning to call back I need a DVD authoring pack that volition take movie files of different kinds, and yet permit me personalize everything including themes, etc.

a couple of days of tinkering with torrents whatever that is, has loaded me up with gremlins. Offset time ever, with my macbook pro. Home folio and new tabs adding themselves to everything. If I buy iLife 08 and install information technology, everything should be working vis a vis my movie jackpot. Why not buy? Developers deserve their piece of the pie.
I'll study when information technology is all working like it should.

This was a radical change from iMovie6HD, inasmuch that all you could really practise with it was to import video from your camcorder and so upload it direct to Youtube, or similar. It's editing capabilities were most nil.

I accept installed iLife 8, and I am having a devil of a time finding it. "Install Successful" shows after the DVD is installed, simply nowhere can I find it. Spotlight can't find it!
Is iLife automatically ignored for a known reason?

iMovie HD 6.5.1 also works with macOS Sierra.
Unfortunately version 6.0.4 didn't and nor did it work with yosemite or el capitan. I was rather annoyed when I upgraded from mavericks to yosemite only to find iMovie Hd vi.0.4 no longer works. And there was no mode I would want to use a more than up-to-date version similar version '08, '09, 'xi or 10 considering they were not as skillful as 6. And nor do I want to buy expensive software to supersede imovie.
iMovie 08 and 09 were certainly not to be recommended, but iMovie11(v9) was/is every bit as good as iMovie6HD. Haven't made my mind up nigh iMovie10 still.
